The Louisiana Environment

Southern Louisiana has a wealth of diverse habitats, but many serious environmental problems confront our state and region. These pages are provided by the EEB Environmental Biology honors class to increase the environmental awareness of the Tulane community. The opinions reflected in these pages are the opinions of the authors, and do not represent university policy on environmental issues.

In addition to the references included in these pages, those interested in local environmental issues should check the extensive clip files maintained by the Howard-Tilton Library's Louisiana Collection (second floor). The Library's Reference Department (main lobby) and Government Documents Department (lower level) are also good starting points for research into environmental issues. Additional links to resources in environmental biology may be found at envirolinks.
