Fine Arts

Newcomb Pottery was produced from 1895 to 1940. It was thrown primarily by Joseph Meyer and decorated by Newcomb art students.

Curriculum -- Distribution Components

Students are required to select three courses from at least two disciplines and including at least one course (3-4) credits in the Humanities, one course (3-4) credits in the Fine Arts, and a second course (3-4) credits in either the Humanities or Fine Arts. One and two-credit courses in dance and/or applied music (excluding service learning and writing practicum) totaling at least three credits may count as a fine arts course.
