| Composition Course Database: a part of the Composition in Cyberspace project, funded by the Annenberg/CPB Project. Searchable database with online submission form and option to solicit collaboration with other teachers of composition with online components. No entries since 1998, many dead links, but a number of links still connected to courses. Part of Diversity University, an online university using text and multimedia-based virtual reality environments known as MOOs. Cyber English: An Internet Project: wonderful project designed by Ted Nellen. Based on high school experiences with electronic classrooms, this page has links to syllabi, articles, and student projects that are highly relevant to university teaching as well as high school instruction. English Classes Online at California State U. Northridge Jumpstart, an assistance program for curricular technology at U. Southern CA. A wonderfully well-funded project to assist faculty develop technology enhanced courses, with links to past and present course syllabi from all disciplines. Medieval Studies Syllabi: sample syllabi from contributors to The Online Reference Book for Medieval Studies. Most links active. Some student assignments have been added to the OBR site proper. Renaissance, Rhetoric, and Writing for the WWW, Professor Christy Desmet (UGA) page of courses (20 at last count) with online materials, including web projects. Sharing Syllabi, Jacqui Cyrus, N. Arizona U., links to a number of courses with online syllabi, mostly writing, some literature, some with web projects. Syllaweb Resource Page: created by Sabrina Peters Whithead, this site provides links to a variety of Syllawebs for courses ranging from first year composition to technical writing, American Studies, and literature. Some syllawebs are simply on-line versions of the paper syllabus while others take advantage of the technology of the web to offer students a variety of resources. Teaching & Learning on the Web: searchable collection includes sites that range from courses delivered entirely via the web to courses that offer specific activities related to a class assignment or perhaps courses that offer class support materials via the web. Includes an online submission form to add your course. Teaching the Web: from the Colorado State University Writing Center, this site includes links to sample teaching syllabi, course proposals, and teaching resources on the Web. Worldwide listing of Online University Teaching Centers, U. Kansas, lists sites with a focus on teaching and faculty development at the college/university level. Some sites focus exclusively on teaching while others are multifunctional. The World Wide Web Courseware Developers Homepage: from University of Brunswick, listing courses that utilize the web. All disciplines, as of May 1999 there were 165 courses listed--not many live links in English section. Submissions welcome but must comply with certain restrictions and procedures.
