Purpose
The purpose of the GAPSA Finance Committee is
to assure that the funds of the ASB are properly handled for the
benefit of all students. To this end, the Finance Committee will
hear presentations on, investigate, and deliberate over all requests
for funding in a timely and judicious manner.

Reserve Fund Requests
The Application Process:
1. Please download the 'Reserve Fund Application Form', and
email the completed form to your school's
finance
committee
member at
least 48 hours before the finance committee meeting.
He or she will then review the request and send it on to the
treasurer.
2.
Travel requestors will not be required to
attend the finance committee meeting, but all other requestors
must present
their case to the committee. Your representative will be able
to tell you when and where the next meeting is.
3.
The committee
then makes their recommendation to the GAPSA Assembly, which
then
approves
or
denies the request. You will be able to find out the results
after this.
4. Requestors should then meet with the Director of Student Budgets
to find out the logistics.
Our Guidelines:
We consider three types of requests:
Travel Requests: Up to $250
per person. Travel to conferences etc. Money to be used for travel
related expenses only.
Local Conferences: $2000 per event. Support for schools and organizations
to bring in speakers, host panel discussions etc.
Capital Improvements: Case by case basis. We have supported library
expansions, equipment purchases etc. If you have any additional questions,
please contact your school's finance committee member and look
at the Finance Committee Constitution and Bylaws.
