A former senior legislative assistant for a Member of Congress, Sharon is the University's liaison with Louisiana's Congressional Delegation and staffs, interacting with them to gather information, solicit support for and analyze legislative issues of importance to Tulane, and make recommendations. She helps develop proposals and seek funding for university projects through legislative means by working with Washington, D.C. consultants and organizations. She also serves as a link between the University and various national organizations that represent the interests of higher education, such as NAICU, AAU, AAMC, ACE, etc.
