FREE - Screening for Depression, Alcohol, & Eating Disorders

Location: The Psychiatry Clinic is located on the third floor of the Student Health Center (Uptown) in room 310.

Hours:  

Monday thru Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday Closed 

Holidays and Summer: Call for hours of operation.

Services provided include:

  • An initial evaluation and brief counseling / psychotherapy depending on the student's needs
  • Medication Management
  • Anonymous HIV counseling
  • Crisis counseling / intervention
  • Group Therapy
  • Couples Therapy
  • Substance Abuse evaluations, counseling, and referrals as appropriate

The Psychiatry Clinic maintains a very strict policy regarding confidentiality.

The professional staff consists of psychiatrists, a psychologist, board certified clinical social workers, a board certified substance abuse counselor, a nutritionist, and rotating psychiatry residents and social work interns. All of the staff are experienced in the area of college health.

 The Psychiatry Clinic periodically offers group therapy for eating disorders, victims of sexual assault, and stress reduction.

 When appropriate, referrals may be made to other staff members as well as to outside resources such as mental health professionals in a variety of clinical settings.
