Butler House - Honors Residence Hall

Since the Fall of 1992, Tulane Scholars have had the opportunity to live in a special residence hall designated for honors students only. This residence hall will have freshmen as well as a few upperclassmen who will help to develop an even greater sense of community for the Honors Program. Even the Resident Advisers will be Tulane Scholars who not only "know the ropes" of Tulane life but also fully recognize the excitement and potential of Tulane Scholars.

Named for Pierce Butler, a former Newcomb College professor and dean, Butler Hall welcomes its ninth incoming class of Honors residents in the fall of 2002. The eight-story, coed structure consists of double-occupancy rooms for the first year student and a few Honors upper-class singles.
