Hilton Evans' ChemPen Products
Hilton Evans has two products available at a very modest cost
considering the available features of the software. ChemPen+ (shareware) software allows the user to create 2-d
chemical structures, calculate molecular mass, percent composition by element, C13 NMR
chemical shifts, etc. ChemPen3D
(shareware) software allows the
user to create 3-d chemical structures, manipulate them in real time, do energy
minimazation calculations, etc. The products have limited (though useful) capabilities
until the user registers (buys) the products.

CS ChemFinder is a searchable online chemical database.
The ChemDraw plugin can function as a remote database query client - you can draw a structure and send it over the web to a remote database. The database can return the information to you as a ChemDraw structure, which you can then save to disk as a ChemDraw document (with the Pro and Std versions), or view in your browser.
Free software to view chemical structures on the internet and from CS ChemFinder search results.
The new Chem3D Plugin (free) takes this one step further - you can see and rotate 3d models in your browser window, without the need to switch to a separate application. It supports most common molecular modeling file formats, and the Std version allows you to save models to disk or print them out.
