One of the several medals struck in honor of the Swedish scientist. A bronze medal (41 mm) 1830. By Wilhelm Kirchner. One of a series of medals struck under the direction of Gottfried Bernhard Loos at his die-sinking establishment in Berlin.

Nude bust facing left. on truncation, W.KIRCHNER F.; below and parallel to truncation, G.LOOS DIR. ; in a curve at top, IO. IAC BERZELIVS and in a curve below, NAT.OSTROGOTH.D.XX M.AVG. MDCCLXXIX with a rosette on each side to complete the circle.

A chemical balance
with box of weights and tweezers; in a curve above, PONDERA ET NVMEROS
INVESTIGAVIT and in exergue, MDCCCXXX.
