Psychology Club Meeting: 02-11-2004
• 1st meeting of the semester
• Dr. Cunningham is on sabbatical this semester so Dr. Overstreet will be the advisor to the club
• Psi Chi’s 70th Anniversary at Tulane this year
• Website has been updated and minutes will be posted
• T-shirt
- One color ink• Psych club has rolling admissions, with $10 dues/year
- “Psych majors do it on the couch”
- Members voted and agreed they would spend the money on a shirt
• Psi Chi is accepting applications, dues are $35 for life
• Elections for executive positions will be in March
• Next meeting will be March 16th or 17th
• Planning a Psychology Luncheon with faculty member, maybe Dr. Ruscher
• The following meeting will be an information session about classes, professors, etc.
• “Acing an Interview”
- Dr. Dohanich shared his advice as well as helpful handouts
- Main points: Be prepared and visit the school website, come with questions, know what research you have worked on, act “normal”, visit and interview if you plan on attending the school. . .

Officers Meeting: 02-04-2004
Announcements (made by President Lisa Sontag):
• Dr. Cunningham is on sebatical this semester; Dr. Overstreet will be taking over as faculty advisor for Spring 2004.
• The Psychology Club/Psi Chi website has been updated by Brian Sontag, who is interested in continuing as Webmaster until 2007.
• 2004 marks the 70th anniversary of the Tulane University chapter of Psi Chi.
• We have entered the Psi Chi website in the running for a $200 website award…we will hear the results soon
• We are still considering ideas for a psych club/psi chi T-shirt
• We plan on adding “Guidelines for Applying to Graduate School” to our website shortly.

Constitution:
• The Psych Club/Psi Chi constitution was presented and reviewed by the officers, and will be presented to members at the next meeting, and if approved by members, it will then be given to USG.
• The constitution is posted online, on the Psych Club /Psi Chi website.
Budget:
•Our 2-account currently holds:
$10 for copying
$20 for office supplies
$100 for refreshments for a speaker event (banquet)
•Our 9-account currently holds:
$45.36 from the Psych dept
•Motivation Money
$244 for pizza, soda, T-shirts, etc.
Suggestion was made and agreed with to use some of the motivation money for food for meetings due to the fact that the 9-account is so low
Upcoming Meetings and Events:
• Psychology Luncheon:
-The decision was made to invite only Psych Club/Psi Chi members, and have everyone who plans on attending send an RSVP
-The luncheon will take place between 11:00 am and 1:00pm on either Tuesday March 16th or Wednesday March 17th
• Meetings:
-1st Meeting: Feb 11 7pm, place TBA "Acing an Interview."
-2nd Meeting: Tues March 16 or Wed March 17 sometime between 11am to 1pm "Psychology Luncheon". Dr. Overstreet will discuss with faculty which day will be better
-3rd Meeting: Mon, March 29 at 7pm "Registration Info Session and Elections"
-4th Meeting: Mon, April 19 at 7pm "Honors Thesis Presentations"
