Workshop Logistics

Travel:

· We recommend that all workshop participants plan to arrive in New Orleans on Wednesday, October 31, 2001 and depart on Sunday, November 4, 2001. To schedule your flights, please contact American International Travel in New Orleans and reference your request to the "RiOMar Workshop." They can be reached via phone, at 504-525-0004, or via email, at cbd@americaninternationaltravel.com. They have informed us that they have a special deal with Continental Airlines, so using that carrier would be preferred, though not mandatory. Please inform them of your preferences for airport, seating, departure/arrival times, special meal requests, and frequent flyer numbers. Unless specifically requested, all tickets will be pre-paid and issued as electronic tickets.

· We will not pre-arrange transportation to and from the airport, but you will be reimbursed for any of those expenses. There are several taxi and shuttle services available at the airport for transit to the hotel. American International Travel can also be queried concerning transportation issues as well. In order to receive reimbursement for transportation and other per diem expenses, you will need to submit a travel voucher during the workshop. Travel policies, information, forms, and instructions for reimbursement will soon be posted on this website. Please check back soon.

· Transportation between the hotel and the workshop meeting rooms at Tulane University will be provided. Information regarding pick-up times will soon be posted.

Lodging:

· All participants will be staying at the Ambassador Hotel on 535 Tchoupitoulas Street, in the Arts & Warehouse District of New Orleans. Upon arrival at the hotel, give the front desk your name and identify yourself as part of the RiOMar group. Unless you inform us otherwise, you will not be assigned a roommate. The hotel's website is http://www.neworleans.com/ambassador and their phone number is 888-527-5271.

· Please visit the website for the Ambassador Hotel for nearby recreational activities/destinations. The Ambassador is close to the French Quarter, the Riverwalk, Harrah's Casino, and numerous restaurants.
