Faculty & Staff Home Use Software

Licenses give you the legal right to use the software and are required for all installations. All computers must have their own individual license for each software product installed on it. 

Faculty/Staff Home Use Software: The following software is available for purchase & installation on faculty and staff personally owned computers.


Software Available from

Computer Security Suite

  • McAfee Active VirusScan Suite
  • McAfee Virex for Macs
  • Lavasoft Ad-Aware
Adobe
  • Personal purchases are not allowed.
  • Adobe home use is allowed by the primary user of the institutional owned computer.
  • All home use software must be uninstalled if you leave the University. The University owns this license.
  • Institutional purchases may be made by contacting TRC. See Purchasing instructions

Apple Mac OS X

  • Not available from the Tulane Software Office
  • You may purchase it directly from the Apple Education Store for $69 per computer

MacSFTP

Mathematica

Complete the Software Request Form and request the Mathematica site #.

Visit Wolfram and complete the Staff Home-Use License Request Form. You will receive an installation CD directly from Wolfram.

Microsoft Office Professional and other Microsoft products
(Home Use & Employee Use)

Available from e-academy.

All home use software must be uninstalled if you leave the University. The University owns this license.

Employee use software is owned by the employee and does not require removal if you leave the University.

SAS for Windows (new licenses)

  • $50 new license & media download
  • $70 new license & CD media
  • Get it from the Tulane Software Office
  • Complete the Software Request Form to license and download this software.

Additional License Info:

  • License fees also cover any upgrades for the license term.
  • Licenses expire every July 31st and require renewal for continued use.
SAS for Windows (license/maintenance renewals)
  • $25 license renewal.
  • Get it from the Tulane Software Office
  • If you currently have it installed and need the setinit for the 2005-2006 academic year, complete the Software Request Form.

  • License fees also cover any upgrades for the license term.
  • Licenses expire every July 31st and require renewal for continued use.
SPSS for Windows
Modules included are: SPSS base, Advanced statistics, Regression, and Trends
  • For Institutional and faculty/staff use only. This is not for student use. Students use instructions
  • $55 per new license & media download
  • Get it from the Tulane Software Office
  • Complete the Software Request Form to license and download this software.
