What we do

Tulane’s Undergraduate Student Government exists to serve the needs of the student body.   In addition to meeting twice a month to review and pass legislation relevant to student life concerns, USG operates via a committee system.  Each committee oversees aspects of student life.

Recent accomplishments of USG are:

The creation of a Fall Break starting in the       fall of 2009.

The development of the “Bye, Bye Bubble” Facebook group to inform students about the deconstruction of “the Bubble.”

Currently the Tulane USG is working:

To improve channels of communication to ensure that students’ concerns are being addressed.

To establish a greater degree of transparency so that all students understand the role that their government plays at Tulane.

To better the student organization environment by clarifying expectations, developing resources, and promoting frequent review.
