Resources: Partners

Research Archive | Partners

The Cowen Institute collaborates and partners with a wide variety of governmental, non-profit, and for-profit agencies and organizations to address its key initiatives and programs.

Educational Nonprofit Partners
The institute’s staff understands the importance of engaging in regular dialogue with non-profit organizations that are currently supporting public schools.  We donated office space and are currently co-located with a number of like-minded organizations, including New Schools for New Orleans, New Leaders for New Schools, and The New Teacher Project.

Community Partners
A key component of our model of collaboration and building partnerships is the local community that it seeks to serve.  The Cowen Institute realizes the importance of such a network of community organizations as a source of on-the-ground information and perspectives to shape our plans; an accountability mechanism for public education in New Orleans; and a powerful pressure group to drive system-wide changes.

Governmental Agencies
The Cowen Institute is a resource for state and federal legislators and provides best practice-based thought leadership on policies that affect the public schools of New Orleans.

Tulane-based Partners
The Cowen Institute also partners with schools, institutes, departments, and centers within Tulane University and other local higher education institutions.
