Housing Issues and the Tulane Community
Due to the devastation of homes and apartments by Hurricane Katrina, many faculty, staff and students who live off-campus are worried about the availability of housing. The university understands that this is an issue of paramount importance to employees and students as they plan to return to New Orleans . As a result, Tulane is pursuing different options to augment its on-and off-campus housing for faculty, staff and students. A notice about the availability of new housing options and the process for assignment of housing will be published on this website no later than 5 p.m. (CT) on Friday, Nov. 11.
Please note that individuals will be responsible for paying for their own housing; the university will be providing a limited list of available housing options.
As a first step to being eligible for the university's list of available housing, employees and students who are in need due to the destruction or disrepair of their homes or apartments should fill out the housing surveys linked below. Employees should also continue to make efforts to find their own housing.
