“Rebirth: Our Lives and Our Community” was the theme for this year’s Martin Luther King Week for Peace, jointly celebrated by Tulane, Xavier, Dillard and Loyola universities. On Monday (Jan. 16), Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a candlelight vigil was held in front of Loyola, and participants walked in a procession to Holy Name of Jesus Church for an interfaith service. The University Consortium Mass Choir performed at the service.
