This shell motif, on the edifice of the art history building on the Newcomb College campus, suggests the past, when the building housed the Newcomb swimming pool and gym. The structure, now part of the Woldenberg Art Center, contains offices, classrooms, the glass art and sculpture studios, and Freeman Auditorium.
