The Tulane Green Wave football team took on the University of Houston in Houston for the season opener on Saturday (Sept. 9), but a strong Cougar offense dominated the game, 45-7. The lone Tulane score came on a 49-yard touchdown reception from senior quarterback Lester Ricard to junior running back Matt Forté. The Green Wave return to action on Saturday (Sept. 16), when they travel to Starkville, Miss., to take on Mississippi State University at 6 p.m. at Davis Wade Stadium. (Photos by Michael Durisseau)
