• Women’s Basketball. The young Green Wave played a scrappy game, but dropped an 89-60 decision to the experienced, No. 3-ranked Louisiana State University Tigers Tuesday (Dec. 20) in Baton Rouge, La. Three Tulane players scored in double-digits, and Tulane’s 60 points were the second most allowed by LSU this season. The Tiger tandem of Seimone Augustus and Sylvia Fowles, however, were too powerful as the preseason All-Americans combined for 39 points and 15 rebounds.

Tulane returns to action on Wednesday, Dec. 28, playing in the Tulane Classic at 6 p.m. vs. Samford in Fogelman Arena.

• Men’s Basketball. Despite shooting 59.2 percent from the field, Tulane turned the ball over a season-high 30 times and missed 16-of-36 free throws as St. Edward's University pulled off a 91-83 overtime victory over the Green Wave on Monday (Dec. 19) in College Station, Texas.

The men’s team returns home for the first game of the season in Fogelman Arena on Tuesday, Dec. 27, against the University of Richmond. For tickets to Tulane games contact the Tulane Ticket Office at 504-247-1240 or purchase them on-line.
