An experimenter is interested in the effects of gender and repeated exposure on emotional reactions to negative stimuli. Women and men participants (A1, A2) viewed 5 visually upsetting slides for 10 seconds each; at each of the 5 slide presentations (B1-B5), the experimenter recorded muscle activity in the forebrow (corrugator supercilli muscle).
