Advising
The college's academic advisers offer advice on the university core curriculum, which consists of the proficiency and
distribution components. We assist students in course selection and monitor their progress toward the baccalaureate degree.
We also advise students on the selection of a major field and administer the major/minor declaration process, at which point
students may seek advice on the major or department-specific programs from the appropriate academic department as well.
The college's academic advisers process transfer and advanced placement credit, direct freshman academic orientation and
registration, process requests for leaves of absence, and coordinate the certification of seniors for the baccalaureate degree.
