Classes:

Classes are held:

Monday 8:30-10:00pm

Thursday 8:00-10:00pm

Sunday 3:30-5:00pm

Classes are held during Fall and Spring semesters.

What to Bring:

Wear loose fitting clothes; sweatpants and a T-shirt are fine. Try and clip your finger and toenails. Also something to keep long hair back can be helpful. Lastly, try and leave all jewelry and watches in your locker or bag.

What to Expect:

Most classes follow a similar flow. After bowing in, warm-up exercises usually take 15-20 minutes, these include general stretching as well as specific Aikido exercises. The majority of the class is taken up with practicing techniques. Each technique will be demonstrated first, and then people will pair up to practice. At the end there is generally time for questions or announcements.

In the first classes there will be an emphasis on basic skills, such as rolling and basic movement.
