The course focuses primarily on contemporary Chinese society as it exists in the People’s Republic of China. Special attention is given to exploring Chinese attitudes toward life goals and social mobility, gender formation and social behavior, law and dispute management strategies, and religious beliefs and the cult of the dead. |
