Chinese Literature
Chinese Literature in translation: A survey of masterpieces of Chinese literature from the earliest times to the present. Readings will include classics of philosophy, drama, poetry, and fiction. We will study the development of Chinese literary movements in the context of history and other artistic movements. Class will incorporate multi-media presentations and film to enhance our readings of the texts. |
