MEMBERSHIP

Membership in the Tulane Marching Band is open to all Tulane students, plus other university students within the New Orleans metropolitan area that can fulfill all requirements. Course credit is available through the music department by registering for #APMS 217-13. Membership is contingent upon satisfactory musical and physical abilities that will enable students to fully participate and execute all participatory requirements of the activity. Preliminary auditions for new members are held from February to April. Additional auditions may take place during August band camp. Pre-audition audio tapes/CDs are highly advantageous for both the student and the band staff, in order to evaluate skill levels and to prepare for the upcoming season.
