Study Abroad Opportunities

Tulane University students have the opportunity to study for one or two semesters at the Universidade Pontîfica Católica (PUC) of São Paulo or at the Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBa). These Tulane JYA programs are administered by the Council for International Educational Exchange (CIEE). Tulane credit and grades are awarded for course work completed during this program.

PUC-São Paulo is one of the most prestigious institutions of higher education in Latin America. It is located in the largest and most industrialized city in Brazil. UFBa is noted for its strong tradition in Afro-Brazilian Studies, particularly in the disciplines of history and anthropology. The university is located in Salvador, a splendid colonial city on All Saints Bay that is famous for Afro-Brazilian expressive cultures.
