Welcome to the St. Thomas More Tulane Catholic Center!
Our greatest hope is that we can walk this journey with you as you
grow intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. We hope that you
will find warmth and care among the people here - an outreach that
creates a feeling of being "home away from home".
Our Center is located on the corner of Zimple Street
and Audubon Street, right behind the library. You'll find it a place
where you can relax, study in the library, watch TV, or use our
Chapel for prayer and reflection. You will also find that it's a
place where you can "talk things over" with Fr. R.B.

Sunday Night Supper "Sign Up" - Many
thanks to all the cooks who helped prepare dinners for the Fall
semester. We are once again asking parishioners interested in
cooking for the Sunday Night Suppers to sign up for the Spring
semester. You will find a BIG GREEN poster with dates and
food items listed for the Spring. If each member signs up for just
one dinner we should have no trouble filling up all the dates.
Please consider being a part of this ministry to the Tulane
students.

guidelines.

Days of Prayer, Educational Lectures or other such activities can be
found on the table in the rear of the Chapel or at the Center.
Special Announcements
Renovation Campain - Please give
prayerful consideration to a generous contribution to our Renovation
Campaign. Our parish community owes its existence to the need for a
Catholic campus ministry at Tulane. The Tulane Catholic Center is
the place where much of that ministry takes place. Sometimes it is
easy to forget that if one only attends at Rogers Chapel. Go over to
the Catholic Center and look around. You will see why this
renovation campaign is so necessary and requires a very generous
response. Without the campus ministry, we could not have our St.
Thomas More University Parish! Without the Tulane Catholic Center,
the campus ministry would be difficult if not impossible.
Liturgy for the Sick - Most Reverend
Archbishop Alfred Hughes will celebrate a Special Liturgy for the
Sick on Sunday, January 27, 2002, at 10:30 AM at St. Louis
Cathedral. As we all know, the 10:30 AM Mass at the Cathedral is
televised and reaches a great number of the sick and shut-ins in
their homes, residences and hospitals. All Eucharistic Ministers to
the sick, sick and homebound are encouraged to participate in this
celebration in some manner.
Couples Prayer Group - Looking for
something more in your life? Something to help make sense in the
world? Something to bring a little peace or understanding? The
spiritual tools of prayer and meditation may be the answer. Tom and
Marina Bishop invite couples interested in a regular prayer group to
sign up in the rear of the chapel. Date, time, location and agenda
will be decided by the group at their first
meeting.
