Student Diversity
Our students come from all corners of the globe.
Part of the learning experience at Tulane is a sense of a larger, global community.
As Engineers, our faculty and graduates seek to improve the way of life for groups
of people. Often, these engineering challenges are similar to those experienced halfway
around the world.
At Tulane, relationships are developed early to foster an understanding of the global
nature of our work. Once these bonds are forged, our students find support from alumni
and colleagues on every continent.
Currently, our undergraduate students in Civil and Environmental Engineering come
from 24 states and France (as shown in dark
blue in the map below).
Our graduate students come from Louisiana and several other states as well as Germany,
Turkey, Columbia, India and China.
