This course is an introduction to digital layout and design for print media. The course is an introduction to professional print practice and will include an overview of the history of typography, and print media. Projects include layout for advertising, brand/ identity / logo creation and a conceptual poster project all wth an emphasis on type and design. Assignments are applicable to local and national production and the course includes a visit to a local printing company/ service bureau. All projects apply towards digital portfolio development. ( current software used to teach the course includes but is not limited to the Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on InDesign) |
