Tulane University, founded in 1834, is located on St. Charles Avenue in
uptown New Orleans, a National Historic District. Our 100 plus acres,
shaded by live oaks, are just a 15 minute streetcar ride from the bustling
central business district and the world famous Vieux Carre' (The French
Quarter). Tulane University houses some of the most significant
collections and libraries in the country.
