I am currently earning my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Tulane University. I was born and raised in Homewood, Alabama just outside of Birmingham. I have worked in the Biomedical Acoustics Laboratory to research the potential of combining high-intensity focused ultrasound with other therapies to ablate cancerous tumors. This has required me to develop the fundamental skills which are required to grow and maintain cells in culture and, also, practice methods of evaluating different indicators in cancer cells of metastatic and tumorigenic potential. In vivo experiments will be included in future studies.

I will graduate in May of 2019. I am currently planning on attending graduate school, but I am open to exploring new opportunities. My primary engagements outside of working in the lab are being a Residential Advisor at Tulane, indoor rock-climbing, and acting as the Chairman of Fundraising for Tulane's Colony of Theta Tau.
