I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and spent a year abroad in Landstuhl, Germany. I am a senior at Tulane University in the school of science and engineering class of 2014. Along with a major in Biomedical Engineering, I am also attempting a double minor in Mathematics and Economics. In my free time I enjoy movies and outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. I am also very passionate about swimming which has been an integral part of my life growing up. Upon graduation I plan on attending Naval Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island.

In Professor Khismatullin's lab I work under PhD student Daishen Luo. We are constructing an acoustic levitator, which uses ultrasound to levitate fluid droplets. With this device, in combination with an optical system, the viscoelastic properties of a fluid can be measured while avoiding contact with other materials.
