I am originally from New Hampshire and currently am a junior studying Biomedical Engineering and Mathematics at Tulane University. My research interests include cancer metastasis and thrombosis. Specifically, I investigate the adhesion of platelets to breast cancer cells. This past summer I had the opportunity to conduct research at the Center for Computational Science here at Tulane where I helped to develop a model to simulate the motion of microorganisms swimming through viscoeleastic media at the zero Reynold's number. This work allowed me to advance my skills as a programmer and to integrate my passions for biomedical engineering and mathematics. I hope to use the skills that I learned this past summer to better my work in Dr. Khismatullin's laboratory.

In my spare time I enjoy running, baking and reading. Over the past few years I have begun to participate in various long distance races including two half marathons. I have cemented a love for running and this spring I hope to participate in my first full marathon.
