Scott J. Hymel
I am a New Orleans local and received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Orleans. I have received a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at Tulane University and currently a PhD candidate in the
Biomedical Engineering. My research interests include computational modeling and biomedical devices. I have experience in computational fluid dynamics from my undergraduate. I am currently working on cell migration and
cell-cell interactions in channels with different geometry and computational modeling of atherosclerosis for patient-specific simulations.
In my spare time, I train and run races for good causes where I continue to run farther along with improving my race time. I also like traveling along with ice and roller skating. With being from New Orleans,
I enjoy music of all kinds from jazz to rock n' roll. I also enjoy volunteering for the FIRST Robotics competitions.
