I was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana. I attended Jesuit High School in New Orleans, and I am currently a senior in Biomedical Engineering at Tulane University. My research involves growth of hepatic cancer cells. In lab, we work to grow in vitro cell clusters that closely represent tumor size in vivo. In summer of 2011, I worked at the LSU Health Sciences Center studying lipid penetration into hydro-gel contact lenses. I have worked with cell culturing, fluorescent labeling, and confocal microscopy, among other things. I hope to attend medical school next school year.

In my spare time I love to listen to music. I am in a band in which I play guitar, bass, and drums. I also try to find time to watch movies, from classic films of the 40s to modern action hits. I love to try new foods, especially delicious desserts. And I enjoy throwing the football around with my friends or playing other sports.
