Weixiong Wang

I am Weixiong from Zhejiang, China. My major is Fluid Mechanics and my Ph.D. degree is from Tsinghua University in China. After receiving my Ph.D. degree in 2008, I came to the U.S. as a postdoctoral researcher at the Ohio State University. I spent at Ohio State one and a half year and then transfered to Tulane University in summer 2009. My research is mainly about the numerical simulation of the flow of non-Newtonian fluids including suspensions and biological fluids such as blood. It is very interesting for me to experience the lives in Columbus Ohio and New Orleans, two cities with very different styles. Except hot weather in summer, my wife and I love New Orleans very much. Tulane is also a wonderful school. We are so excited these days for our first son, Derek, who was born a week ago. We really love him, love Tulane and love this city.
