COURSES

For more than 30 years, I have taught courses ranging from Introductory Biology for an audience of 250 freshmen, to Advanced Field Ecology for graduate students.  I have participated in various University initiatives to increase interdisciplinary teaching, such as a Grand Canyon Colloquium and a Yucatan Colloquium.  I have also offered focused seminars for freshmen on the Creation-Evolution Controversy in America, and have directed student independent research, Honors theses, and Public Service projects.  I now regularly offer four courses, two of them with laboratories.  Please visit the course web sites to learn more.
