Grants, Internships, and Independent Studies

Internships
Through the Center for Public Service Internship Program, Tulane students can earn three credit hours towards some majors, including Environmental Studies. Internship sites include local environmental and community organizations.

Many Tulane courses offer service learning opportunities with environmental and community organizations. Learn more at the Center for Public Service web site.

Visit HireTulane.com for up to date information on positions at other great companies and non-profit organizations.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) maintains a web listing of internships and fellowships offered by the agency.

Independent Study
Through ENST 401, "Environmental Studies Special Projects," Tulane students can earn course credit for research conducted within the Office of Environmental Affairs. Projects researching campus environmental systems and proposing sustainable solutions--for example, analyzing university energy use and greenhouse gas emissions--are available each semester.
