Tilton Hall is the home of Tulane Economics.

Welcome to the Department of Economics at Tulane University. Faculty members conduct research and teach courses in the areas of public economics, poverty and inequality, education, economic development, labor economics, health economics, economic history, international economics, urban economics, microeconomic theory, and econometrics. The Department is composed of 15 regular faculty members, 2 postdoctoral fellows, 4 visiting or adjunct professors, over 250 undergraduate majors, 30 graduate students, and 4 affiliated research centers.




Congratulations to Economics' Latest Ph.D. and Postdoctoral Placements!

Jianjing Lin, postdoctoral fellow, will be an Assistant Professor of Economics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

Gultekin Gollu, postdoctoral fellow, will be an Assistant Professor of Economics at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio

Dan Teles, Ph.D. graduate, will join the Urban Institute as a Research Associate in the Metropolitan Housing and Communities Center
