Alan BarrecaAssistant Professor Ph.D. University of California, Davis Research interests: labor, health 203 Tilton Hall 504-862-8346 Personal website: http://alanbarreca.com/ Short bioAlan graduated from Santa Clara University in 2000 with a B.S. in Economics, and from the University of California, Davis in 2008 with a Ph.D. in Economics. His broader research interests include labor economics, health economics, and applied microeconometrics. Much of Alan's research has focused on understanding the relationship between climate, health, and economic well-being. For example, Alan has studied the the long-term effects of exposure to malaria during early childhood. He has researched the effects of humidity on mortality in the United States. And he has studied the effects of demographic changes on the incidence of malaria in the early 20th Century United States. Selected publications
