Facilities The Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences has a wide variety of facilities available to faculty and student researchers to investigate geological phenomenon. Researchers have access to instruments such as XRF, XRD, ICP, ICP-MS, computer laboratories, rock and thin section preparation labs, rock and mineral collections, and photography labs. Most of the major research instruments are housed in the Department, but are maintained and shared throughout the University by Tulane's Coordinated Instrumentation Facility (CIF). Further information about the CIF can be found at: The Tulane University Coordinated Instrumentation Facility (CIF) Besides our regular computer laboratory, a 3-D Seismic workstation laboratory is also available Tulane Fossil Localities download Opportunities Information about the research projects currently being conducted by members of the Department can be found by visiting individual faculty member's web pages, under Faculty in the sidebar. Here we provide information about some of the other programs available at Tulane. Other interdisciplinary research opportunities are available through Tulane's Center for Bioenvironmental Research (CBR) |
