International Expansion Strategy for a United States Corporation

Working in collaboration with one of the world’s top consulting firms, the Freeman Consulting Group has been asked to assess the feasibility of an international expansion strategy for a domestic company with assets of 600+ million.  The Freeman Consulting Group is currently researching geographic opportunities that will allow for maximum volume and revenue growth.

The project encompasses examining the company’s core competencies, finding the key drivers of growth, analyzing the current geographic markets where those drivers are most likely to be present, and making a strategic selection of markets that would allow for best top-line results given certain constraints.  To maintain client confidentiality, the Freeman Consulting Group cannot disclose any further details about this project.

Beacon Prep School Strategic Business Plan Project

Beacon Prep School is a non-profit organization seeking to establish a sustainable, green community complete with a pre-k through 12th grade school, child development center, shopping village, theater and camp ground. Profits from the shopping village and camp ground will benefit the school. 20 percent of the enrollment will be for children with development disabilities such as ADD and autism.

Barbara McGowan, founder, developed the idea for Beacon Prep after she could not find a Christian, private school in New Orleans that would accommodate the learning needs of her son. Barbara’s interest in offering a low cost, quality education led her to establish Beacon Prep. Plans for the school have rapidly evolved over the last year. The original idea, which consisted of offering a school only, has grown into a master plan that will include work study programs, technical training, and other therapeutic offerings for children with developmental disabilities. Other elements of the plan include a sustainable green community complete with residential developments and a child development center run by Dr. Frank Wallace, a psychologist who sits on the Board of Dr. Phil McGraw’s charitable foundation.

Beacon Prep is embarking on a $50,000 fundraising effort in support of developing a master plan. Additional rounds of fundraising to provide financing for the school will follow. Beacon Prep has asked the Freeman Consulting Group to assist with marketing efforts for the initial fundraising and to help with the development of a strategic business plan.
