Academic Competitiveness Grant

General Information
The Academic Competitiveness Grant is available for the first time for the 2006-2007 academic year for certain first-year students who graduated from high school after January 1, 2006, and for certain second-year students who graduated from high school after January 1, 2005. Eligibility for this grant is determined on a semester basis; a grant award must and will be revised for any semester during which grant criteria is not met.

General Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) by the Tulane University Financial Aid Office, a student must be a U.S.citizen; be a Federal Pell Grant recipient; be enrolled full-time in the first or second year of an undergraduate degree program at Tulane University; have completed a rigorous secondary school program of study after January 1, 2006, if a first-year student, (or after January 1, 2005, if a second-year student); have sufficient financial need to allow inclusion of the ACG after other financial aid is considered; and, if a second year student, have at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA upon completion of the first academic year.
