For Wednesday and Friday, contemplate my dative paradigms in my 6.1 remarks. Consider the ACC, GEN, and PREP forms in the light of appendices B, C, D and E. Remember that we have not studied the instrumental case yet, nor the plural GEN, PREP, or DAT.

Appendix A summarizes the meanings of these cases. See pp. 340ff in the textbook.

Make your own sample paradigms comparing the cases, with noun phrases, e.g:

• The accusative for animate masculines is identical to the genitive; for inanimates, it is identical to the nominative:

я люблю моего мужа.

я люблю мой университет.

Produce diagrams of your own devising for various parts of speech, e.g. этот, personal pronouns я, ты, он, она, мы, вы, они. Review the rules governing spelling of velars and hushers (app. B). What order do you prefer listing the cases, and why?
