General description: Larvae are bird dropping mimics and sit on the UPPER surfaces of leaves. They have osmeteria which are very strong smelling when extruded. Older larvae are about 4cm (3 inches) long.

Time as pupae and rearing results:

Host plants in database: Poncirus trifoliata (Trifoliate orange). This was an ornamental planted in the Carrolton area in New Orleans.

Parasitoids and predators:

Observations and comments: These are seen around more southern towns and cities on backyard orange and lime trees and on other trees in the Rue family, such as hoptree, farther north.
