Introduction to ArcGIS I

Chris Swalm and Leslie Morgan are ESRI authorized instructors at Tulane University. Chris has a Master's degree in Geographic Computer Techniques, and Leslie has a Master's degree in Biostatistics. Together, they teach a graduate level Geographic Information Systems (GIS) class and have been involved in several research projects at the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, including Prostate Cancer and GIS, Mosquito Habitat and Severe Malaria Disease Distribution in Kenya, Africa, and The Mississippi River Water Quality Database Project.

Though their area of application of GIS is in public health, this course is authored by ESRI and is relevant to all audiences interested in gaining basic GIS skills.
