Tutorial 8, Case Problem 4
Mansfield Classic Theatre
The Director of Mansfield Classic Theatre is back ... asking you to add to their WebSite the entire collection of Shakespeare's The Tempest. He suggest that you use Frames with links to each scene in one frame, and the dialog of the selected scene in another frame. You already have webpages with the text of the nine scenes. You also have the logo from the company's production of The Tempest. The Director has seen, and loves, the website design work you have done recently. He has great expectations for what you can do for his production company's WebSite. The Director also is excited about the research you do in finding related WebSites that can be linked to, and that enhance the value of your WebSites.
To complete this assignment:
- Except for the use of frames, the design of this WebSite is entirely up to you!
- Your design will use a minimum of 4 frames, like this
- frame that shows the scene dialog
- frame that is a menu selection -- list of scenes
- logo frame
- frame with links to related WebSites (external links)
- Use an external style sheet that will apply styles uniformly across all your site's webpages
- Add support for web browsers that DO NOT support frames
- Use JavaScript to ensure that browsers will load the entire frameset when first entering your site (this makes browsing your site seem faster)
- Test your WebPage under a variety of Web Browsers
When you are finished:
- Use FTP to upload your completed web page to your Tulane CPST WebSite.
- Copy the URL of your website's main page and paste it into a new eMail message to George (gnorth@tulane.edu). Subject of this eMail MUST be "Tutorial 8 - Case Problem 4"
