All GSSA constituents can access their Department Constitutions and see their current standing (active or inactive). Your department must be in active standing in order to receive GSSA support. Representatives are notified when their active standing is in jeapordy by the president. If you have questions regarding the standing of your department, contact the GSSA President.
Tulane Relevant Documents
As a member of the Tulane Community, Tulane graduate students are automatically members of the Graduate and Professional Society of Tulane University, GAPSA and the Associated Student Body of Tulane, ASB.
Tulane graduate students are also housed under the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies OGPS. OGPS sponsors many helpful resources for graduate students including career resources, support groups, housing guides, and annual orientations.OGPS is also the home of the Graduate Council. Tulane’s Graduate Council establishes and maintains university-wide procedures, rules and standards for the Master of Arts (MA), Master of Fine Arts (MFA), Master of Liberal Arts (MLA), Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree programs.The council approves new degree programs and major curriculum changes in existing programs, performs periodic program reviews, and advises the Provost on graduate education issues.
