How We Can Help You

The Wellness and Health Promotion Services department has a variety of resources for students. Students are encouraged to stop by during open office hours.

Testing
Anonymous testing for HIV ($30) and alcohol abuse (free) is available through Wellness and Health Promotion Services. Call 865-5255, ext. 3, to make an appointment. Remember, testing is anonymous so you don’t have to give your name.

Bulletin Boards
We have brochures, pamphlets, and other miscellaneous health information that can be used to make a bulletin board.  Please call in advance so that materials can be ready for you to pick up. Otherwise, you may have to wait.

Handouts/Brochures
We have health handouts and brochures on almost every issue pertinent to college health. Brochures are available throughout the health center, but if there is a certain subject you’re looking for, stop by the office (room 109) during open office hours.

Health Questions
Have a question about nutrition, STDs, or any other health topic? E-mail the question to askshc@tulane.edu or stop by room 110 to talk with a health educator. If they can’t help you, they will refer you to someone who can.

Papers/Presentations
The Student Health Center Web page has reliable health links for various subjects.

Free Condoms

Free condoms are available, in quantities up to 50 per visit, to RAs and representatives of official student organizations.  This quantity is subject to change based on supply and demand at the Student Health Center.  Students must present valid Tulane IDs and identify what student organization(s) the condoms will be distributed to.
