2. To assess the readability of an informed consent document

3. To revise the informed consent document so that it is more readable

Please find a brief description of the Flesch reading ease and Flesch-Kincaid reading level measures. There is plenty of information available online. Briefly summarize these two methods (1 paragraph).

Please download the informed consent document from the class website. Use Microsoft Word grammar check to assess the readability of the document. Briefly summarize the readability statistics of the document.

Revise the informed consent to reduce the readability so that the informed consent is at a maximum of a ninth grade reading level. Turn in the revised document with its readability statistics.
